Why fear of imsulting Muslims, they insult us and our country 24-7. The hell with all the political correct BS. We are Americans and should be proud of it.

A lot of Americans are Muslims.  Islam is a religion, not a nationality or ethnicity.
A lot of American Military Personnel serving our Country in the Middle East are Muslim.

Mudwick is absolutely correct. There are communities in this country with large, second and third generation Muslim components. There are Muslims in this country whose families have been here since colonial times. Even within Islam, there are different sects, much like the differing Christian denominations. There is a world of difference between Episcopalians and Identity terrorists, just as there is a difference between mainstream Muslims and Islamic terrorists. While their religion in any form holds nothing attractive to me, I'd be a fool to try to throw them all into the same bag.

Was it not a Muslim Military who shot and killed all those soldiers here.......a Zebra can not change their stripes...I do not think I would consider Islam a religion...

This makes me sad, but absolutely does not surprise me in the least. Indeed, many people in the muslim culture disdain dogs. I know a few "Canadianized" here myself. They think dog ownership, is a complete abomination. However, they are not all like that. I think younger generations of muslims, are actually trying to shift the mindset (from fear & loathing, to loving and embracing them). I know of some in Turkey who attempt to save dogs and cats from dying very violent deaths. This is reality for many. Many of those countries also have little in the way of spay/neuter education, veterinary care (and if it exists, it's either sub-par or cost-prohibitive). As well, licensing is also very expensive...so either way, the gov'ts got you by the short 'n curlies. Fact is, many countries in the middle-east + asia, don't see dogs as companions. They are either treated like livestock (a food-source), or scavenging, feral bottom-feeders that breed like rabbits. Governments sanctioned culls are the norm, and it's horrific, what's done to them.

I know people who are black,Hispanic,Asian, and Irish Catholic who also feel dog ownership is an abomination and that I am just this side of nasty for letting mine live in the house with me. One once left a 4th of July barbecue, because dog-owners had brought dishes. (He was polite in departing and only told people the reason later.) In contrast, I have known Muslims who attended the same barbecues and enjoyed themselves without making an issue of any of the food,or who brought it. (They were told which dishes contained pork and which did not. )

Yes, and it was a White, Catholic Officer who attempted to give military secrets to some of Iraqs most wanted [Chemical Ali ring a bell?] at Camp Cropper.
[And I'll leave out all the crimes he WASN'T convicted of, like ordering unnecessary convoy travel between Balad and Baghdad, for the sole purpose of banging his little interpreter girlfriend, while his wife was back at home holding down the homestead.  Thanks for endangering American lives to get a peice.]

And he got a whopping zero years in Leavenworth for it.  Reduction from LTC to PV1 and loss of all benefits, and a discharge.  Perks of being white and Christian, I guess.  They should have driven his ass to the gallows in the Green Zone and hung him from the same rope they hung Saddam from.

And it was a 19 year old Iraqi kid who dragged an American Soldier from the 1st Cav to safety under enemy fire while working as an interpreter.
He later died after a minor contraband infraction [that's what Iraqiis get for accepting an iPod as a gift from a grateful Soldier] led to his being expelled from Military employment, his cooperation with the Coalition made known to Al Sadr's Army, and his entire family executed in the street.

But I guess he was just worthless because he was Muslim.  Probably had it coming, right?

I have no idea why brave Muslim men and women continue to serve in our Military, or support the Coalition that has invaded their country, when people like you will freely profane the names of the dead.  I hope it wasn't on your behalf, because you don't deserve their sacrifice.

I usually try to keep my feelings about others to myself (try but not always successful, a work in progress you could say LOL).  Just because another insults me or mine does not mean I have to stoop to the same level  There are other ways of getting my point across without blatantly insulting others (wink).  I also try to keep from generalizing from a part to a whole.  Just like a bad GSD out there does not equate to the whole breed being bad.
