i had a female that seemed to be in heat non-stop! i bred her and she had 2, after that she regulated and the next time she had 6.
every bitch is different.

Hmm. irregular hormones can be very nicely adjusted with alternative treatments like herbs or homeopathy for example. I would first try to regulate the dog's cycle before breeding her. If she stays on a 4 months cycle I wouldn't breed her as this might very well be a genetic disposition that shouldn't be transfered to female offspring. Pyometra can occur with any irregular hormone cycle - too little or too many.

I have a 4 monther, she is now 6 years old and has had 2 litters 1 of 3 & 1 of 4 pups, she has recently been mated and I am hoping that she will atleast give me 4 puppies this time as it will be her last.
