K9only1,in response to your reply, I travel around the country looking for potential dogs to purchase for a variety of clients. As I said previously, the studs I mentioned are of high quality and if we would use percentages these studs produce super on percentages. I have evaluated quite a few offspring of Xamm vom Sennertal and they are tough, high drive, but social dogs. Actually, I am also in negotiation process of purchasing a bitch sired by Xamm, a very tough bitch. I am also in the process of purchasing offspring from the studs I mentioned. I have my eye on a few very good prospects. Kyle, in response to your reply on my criteria, knowledge of the breed, recognizing strengths and weaknesses of a particular dog, and never using the podium as a guide. Now don't take that the wrong way, there are quite a few powerful podium dogs. But, after working in the private sector for several years and evaluating dogs for many more years, you learn that you never start at the podium. The type of dog I look to purchase for my clients is usually not found at the podium. In evaluating, numerous offspring of the studs mentioned, I see outstanding nerve base, powerful grips, high drive, and good bone structure. These studs mentioned, also show a high degree of arrogance and it is also extremely evident in most of their offspring. dcgoot

Thanks for the nice comment on Volan and his progeny..which one(s) have you seen, BPWorks? He has some nice ones out there and some exciting breedings coming up. I have a super 12 week old Volan daughter that just amazes me more and more every day. I have only twice seen a pup I thought was as promising as this pup at this age, and one of those two times it was also a Volan kid, a son by a different mother.

bpworks, I am the owner of Xwaldo v.h. Antverpa and I would like to thank you for your kind words. I too feel that Xwaldo is a special dog and should be used for breeding. I currently have three male pups out of Xwaldo and my bitch Forma von Der Berger Hochburg (full sister to Eich) available.

bpworks, I misspoke before, I said, "I currently have three male pups out of Xwaldo and my bitch Forma von Der Berger Hochburg (full sister to Eick) available. I should have said that I am co-leasing a litter out of Xwaldo and Forma with the owner of vom Tauglichkeit German Shepherds and that WE have three males available. Sorry for the confusion.

I was lucky enough to meet Kanto Vom Firecatcher & his handlers this month. Breathtaking dog to say the least!! I now have one of his pups and at 11 weeks she already shows tons of potential! Looking forward to what this pup "Amity" has to give.

Brian, can you give me more info about Gismo?

by gieske on 11 August 2006 - 13:08

Hi, I have Gismo Lacelles IP3 FH LGA and he is a very hard, social dog with tons of natural fight drive and hard crushing grips. One of the outstanding things about gismo is his agility, strength, and power for a dog that is almost 8yrs old. His pups to date are showing power house drives and excellent grips. He was not used much at stud, his owner in europe was competing with him; then we purchased him. We do have a litter from him now and are expecting a litter from a super nice Eick vd Berger Hochburg daughter, Cimi, who will be getting her sch1 title this fall. Thanks for your nice comments about Gismo, cindy g www.gieskeworkingdogs.com
