Raymond,
on top of the hill means noise! Sound carries and agricultural districts do not like this. So, you should look for blueprints with that in mind!
I don't know if I still have this information but a nice lady from Australia on our GSDWorld board sent me a blueprint from an engineer friend who had designed a certain angle in the roofline to contain acoustics. Have to look for it!

Yes noise will be a concern! Fortunately the property backs to a very large section of forest preserve ! Also considering demising walls to isolate direct line of view bewteen each kennel! a lot of variables to consider! Sound dampening acoustic wall coverings will be applied to exterior portions and gable sections of walls!

Raymond,
Have you considered building the exterior walls with ICF blocks? Great R-value and sound barrier.

actually I am familiar with icf but did not think about it in this application! Have only considered it in foundation work for it's r value and ease of assembly!thanks a lot

One issue that needs to be addressed for above grade applications is vapor drive. Most applications in my area use a rain screen between the blocks and the exterior finishing to allow the structure to breath.

The foam on the exterior would make a perfecr substrate for drivit! Drivit is a synthetic plaster used for exterior applications

Looks like a cool product, I've never seen it before. Thanks.
