GSDHaven, I would say, "what does your gut tell you" since you are the one that will be working with the dog. Take all surface factors out like gender, color, own biases, think about what you really want in a pup and see which one "feels" right. 9 times out of 10, the match is good and you end up with a dog that works for you. That is just my opinion. Others probably have much more 'professional" ways of choosing the right dog. Good luck
