Now I'm asking honest questions. First, for me, good looking pup. Looking at the "picture" I wouldn't know if this is a show or work dog. Maybe I'm not suppose to. I only work dogs but like I stated in an earlier thread: to me there is no line between them, they are GSDs. But I'm only familiar with one side.
So, can one really critique at such a young age because I have three and growth spurts or just growing can change the look after one month three months etc. Not being a smart ass honestly wondering. Or is the OP just asking impute from the friends here? Or can the "experts" or "experience" envision what will become? Even at 11 wks? And "stack" "stacked" is that only for "critiquing" A full body length view to identify with the "standards"? And are we stacking only show dogs and not working dogs? Because that is how the GSD public views a GSD?
Another thing, I would think "stacking" the dog is for the ring where the dog is being critiqued but what other purpose except for viewing or photographing does it serve?

alboe, you are correct, the only purpose for stacking a dog is "viewing" or "photograph".
Also, there are no SV judges posting here, so those asking for critiques have to settle for what us self proclaimed "experts" with decades of "experience" see in the picture they present.
And, yes, dogs are evaluated for structure from the time the sac is broken. It does not stop until they are mature. And yes, it does change.
As far as the pup in the pic, stack is very poor. Long bones in shoulder are good, angle is good, back is good, pasterns and rear angles are good. Croup falls off a bit. At this age, a very promising pup as far as conformation.
