I gotcha. I know it's a business but if pup #2 is doing so great, maybe even better than pup #1 or others, doesn't it kill you to get rid of him/her ? Like it wasn't meant to be?

I think that's a reason why I am slow to just buy #2. If it is someone else's dog, there is nothing to contemplate. It is theirs. I actually got offered another pup for free and I turned it down.

you risk the chance of taking a great hobby and turning it into i businees. whats wrong with fostering a pup for guide dogs for the blind? that way your not obligated to keep 2 dogs when all you really want is one. do you have contact info for wendy schmitt?

Dave, good point about making it a job.
if I contacted Wendy, I'd end up buying one of her pups. She has some nice ones at Landgraf.
