I have tried to do a studding with a person in which I know, we made the agreement that he would pay half up front and the balance upon the birth of the puppies. At the time I thought it was fair for both parties until the bitch didn't concieve and a repeat breeding was done and again the bitch didn't concieve. I then told him as my contract said that he needs to have his female tested to make sure she is able to have pups.

Since this deal I don't send out any semen without full payment first and contract is signed and understood. I'm with Steve cause if they don't have money to pay for stud fees than they shouldn't even think of breeding their dog, there are lots of other cost that can occur during this process and if they have a hard time paying for stud fees than how will they be able to pay for anything else
