     Pirate,,,,

I got it..!!!........This is not really about dogs is it....????...If you continue to correct a dog that has submitted to you, you will ruin your bond of trust and respect and the dog will shut down.....Same with people........How did I do.......................?????

I gathered this was really about people, but who is continually correcting someone that has submitted?  That part I don't get.

I didn't really get it either. I just took the question literally because that's what I thought Kim wanted

I'll just stick to posting pictures of cute puppies from now on..

I love my Mal, she's so smart. I could yell at her to go get me a hot chocolate and the Webster's dictonary ... and I swear she reruns what I yelled in her head ... like she wants to know what everyword spoken to her. But, if I was to yell the same sentence to her twice, she'll go into a confused skit-ish panic. If she doesn't know what I'm saying. If I yelled the same sentence 3 times, she'd think she did something wrong ... so I don't go there. She only gets like this when I yell at her ... and I mostly never yell. It's usually only test or I need something while I'm in the bath tub. LOL

Ruger 1 -

I, too, thought the same.   What really "irritates" me is when I hear the words Submissive / Submit used in relation with a human.   Erggggggg !

I knew what Pirates Liar meant from the first post..

Triode girl you did too just didnt register in the right square:

Let me give a small illustration as to why so much CONFUSION on interaction between people comes to a CHAOTIC situation and same can happen with a dog or pup  you are training...

MEN reason and THINK out of BOXES....a man does ONE job at a time , his thought processes are like being in a BOX...he does one box thoroughly and does not want interruption until he gets that box done...

WOMEN on the other hand , are like a plate of SPAHETTI...we get up every morning doing numerous jobs, numerous thought processes to get every one out the door , or on the way to that days jobs..but we have so many things that must get done  we have to think differently ,,do differently and be busy MANAGING many DiFFERENT  jobs all at one time.....IT is like a plate of spaghetti.....THINK ABOUT HOW A PLATE OF SPAGHETTI LOOKS..  ALL the long pieces of spaghetti touch the other piece of spaghetti...they have to ....or it would not be a plate of shaghetti....

Since men and women think differently,,,,correcting a man cannot be done same...correcting or interacting on here or home with a woman has a different platitude....so the end result on here or at any place is   a man who keeps on .arguing   ..a woman who keeps on....and    like a dog or pup that after so many corrections or remarks...or  DEMANDS>...their is CHAOS>>>>  THe word  SUBMIT or SUBMISSIVE  can have  POSSITIVE  results long before it is negative.....WE submit our  comments on here...is that negative...no....we submit an application to a site for approvel...is that negative..no...we submit our photos for approval on our avitars...is that negative..no..

...So a dog is submissive to his master , but the master has to KNOW how to immediately......2  seconds...  reward....and then proceed to the job at hand...   WE as people reason...dogs do not reason....so now that is where CHAOS and  retro comes from in HUMANS>..dogs learn by repetiton and proper reward....we learn by many different brain patterns and environmental and phsysic  entries into our brain and our sight....

We humans only need to be corrected ONCE...not over and over and over...

A pup is usually only once, twice and the third time is harse enforcement.

Enough physcology for today....Gonna go eat a plate of spaghetti /with meatballs..and jalepenos...!!

YR -- I wasn't using the words Submit / Submissive in the same context as you state in your post above.   I was thinking of it and using it in the context of Pirate's question regarding people and the Forum --

sub·mis·sive   /səbˈmɪsɪv/ Show Spelled
[suhb-mis-iv] Show IPA

–adjective
1. inclined or ready to submit; unresistingly or humbly obedient: submissive servants.
2. marked by or indicating submission: a submissive reply.
