Funny, I didn't come away with the impression that Red Sable was complaining, but rather was just pointing out something that was a bit amusing, and that is not uncommon when someone whose first language is not English composes text in the language...
So now a query--that's what it was--qualifies as a complaint? Deleted because it "doesn't read well"? If you're going to be parsing posts and ads for grammar, spelling and word usage, you're going to have to delete a heck of a lot of material...
I'd like to see how well the majority of us--mods included--would fare in trying to compose an ad or post in Czech or Farsi or another language we were not born to or fluent in. I suspect we'd be writing things that were far more offensive than just the incorrect use of a word to convey a gender...

I received a complaint in a pm regarding the ads. I was not talking about RS.
I took action because last time I checked it is illegal to sell pregnant women.
I looked at all their other ads and female is used correctly in each one that mentions a female.
Regards,
GSD

When you took the ad down, did you tell the advertiser why and say he could re-post with corrections?
ETA: saw that the Mod did give the advertiser an explanation as to why the ad was removed. I'd missed that post.

GSD said he sent them an explanation of why he removed the ad. I'm sure it would be fine to repost it minus advertising the sale of pregnant women, which I am pretty sure, is a glaring (though unintentional) gaff, and illegal in most countries around the world. As long as GSD affords the poster the opportunity to repost the ad minus the error, and explains his position to the original poster politely, I don't see a problem.
