CONGRATULATIONS, you two!!! I'm so happy for you. That takes some dedication, especially in weather like that. Way to go!!!
I have seen that move you speak of- the crawling. Perhaps his mother taught him that? I have sworn many times she was closer to me than she was when I told her to stay, though I haven't ever really caught her! Maybe he'll perfect his technique as he gets older so he won't get caught. LOL!

Thank you all! I am happy as this is A LOT of heeling without reward for a young dog.
Yes, one can pass a BH with a blown long down, or one of the motion exercises. Each is worth 10 points. One need 42 points out of 60 to move on to the traffic test. The OB routine is judged according to the rules, the traffic test is more open to the judges discretion. As long as your dog doesnt show agression, spookyness or stress when tied out with handler out of sight, one should pass that part. Last year my other male notched the judge in the butt while doing a required walk off leash down a brushy field way. I thought that this was an automatic D/Q, but the judge did some extra testing trying to find out if this was a true issue or if this happened out of protectiveness of me. So basically what the one judge does in the traffic test is not necessary the same what another judge would do. Some ground rules are the same (tie out, crowd, bicycle, car), but the judge can add on to those (compulsion exercise, walk wit judge ect).

I know the weather was horrible, but did anyone manage to get pictures? I have a little file for Apache (all of them, not just him;-) ) and I would love to add these if there are any.

Congratulations on the BH. My friend David with his Rottie got his SchH1 there also.
Actually the obedience portion is worth 60 not 70 and there is no points allotted for the traffic portion only a pass of fail. Now perhaps you mistook the need to get 70% out of 60 which equates to 42 points.

Thanks for correcting me, Keith. Of course you are right :) I am sure David is happy as one can be after all he endured the days before!
Jen, we had alot of people taking pictures. However, it may take a bit before they are posted.
