Molly, know you had success with this procedure /eagle I believe, read one of your threads. Ultra sound of my dog revealed growth on spleen and spot on liver. Injection into Ab drew blood in syringe. My concern is life expectancy after surgery / not good. Cost for operation is large still reviewing as much info as I can on subject. thanks again VB

see my post on the other thread.
Eagle was 11.5 when his abdomen was enlarged - otherwise he seemed to be feeling 100% and was very active and happy. X-ray showed what appeared to be a large mass on his spleen. I opted to remove the spleen, since Eagle was so fit and active and seemed to be feeling great. He recovered from the surgery in only a day or two - back to himself. However his problem was not a mass on his spleen but instead an enlarged spleen - biopsy results showed Lymphoma. He only lived another month. If it had been hemangio he may have been fine for another year, which had been my hope.
