I bathe my dogs every couple months. Unless one of them gets really dirty and stinky for some reason.. they they will get bathed more. When I bathe them I either use an oatmeal shampoo or I use a shampoo I used when I had horse called Orvus..

As I do not have a massive garden, just a small concreted sitting/ BBQ area and  a corner of a garden filled with bark chips where they can piddle, I take them to my local park for their run and exercise.  I hose them down methodically (top & tail, under belly and paws) everyday when I return from the park with cold water.  I have a warm towel over the radiator ready to towel them dry outside before letting them into the house.  If it is very, very cold I will take a bucket of warm water from inside the house to complete my task outside.  My hands are usually frozen by then.  Fortunately they expect the routine and I do not have to struggle.  They readily lift their paws for me now :)

Drake rarely gets a bath, only when necessary (after rolling in mud or stink).  I brush him regularly and keep nails trimmed.  I bathe him ouside with the hose when weather permits.  He HATES to get a bath, he'll slink under the bushes trying to stay away.  But play with the hose or put a pool out and he's all about water!  Go figure.  He loves getting dried after a bath.

My girl is going to be three yrs old and has probably had 4 baths because of something she rolled in or just plain dirty & smelly.  My boy is going on 20 months and has had 2 baths...just plain dirty!.  They both live in my house.  She hates baths and needs to be tethered in a tub but still tries to get out.  He just sits there looking very pitiful.  Both get there nails done with a drummel every few weeks.  Ears....that's a huge issue!  Neither of them like to get their ears cleaned so I have to have help w/that.

My dog love, and I mean LOVE! baths. I have no idea why. If I don't latch the door when I take a shower, the tub fills up with with critters!

Several GSDs, maybe a JRT, and possibly a kid or two makes the tub mighty crowded very quickly. Hooray for locks!

I had a female who would turn the faucet on. It's one of those "joystick" type toggles, and she'd nudge it till it turned on. I had to train her not to; I had visions of her flooding the house. She'd love that... I would not have. All I have to say is "bathtime!" and it's a mad dash to the tub. They're also trained to shake off on command, which makes it easier to keep the water in the tub, and off my floor.

They all especially love being towel-dried afterwards.

Generally I don't bathe them much in the summer, just take them down and let them swim in the lake. If they get muddy otherwise, I just rinse them in the shower. I seldom use soaps / shampoos unless I have to.

Our two ( German Shepherd and Springer Spaniel ) love water but only get a bath after enjoying visits to the saltwater. Returning home, washed outside with the hose, towel dried, then crated until dry enough to be loose in house again.

On nights like tonight when hubby walks in and says " it smells a little doggy in here"! LOL

Not often, maybe every other month or so but nails are trimmed weekly and ears cleaned as well.

Three baths for Oakley since I have had her.  Her coat sheds most dirt, and isn't oily like the coat on our other dog, Misty.  Also, Oakley is very "girly"...She doesn't like to be wet, muddy, and I have never had her roll in anything nasty..Knock on wood!

When bathing, I use baby shampoo, or a mild regular shampoo.

I give my Huskies a bath maybe once a year.  Huskies are almost an odorless breed and they don't smell bad unless they've been out in the rain.  Even if they dig outside and get dirt on them it's like it all comes off after 10 minutes of running around and playing....kind of weird...  But still, their coats are always very soft and in good condition, and I think I read somewhere with the breed I have that you are only suppose to do one or two baths a year anyway with them.
