Well, that is why everyone needs to know that dogs can get very expensive. When I brought my female in a man brought a beagle in and his beagle was very sick. he ate a huge stick and couldn't pass it. The man decided not to do suregery but to have his dog euthanized. I understand that finances probably prevented him but my finances are not the best since I just payed the lawyer $35K. However, when the day comes where I can't get medical attention for my dogs, I will certainly place ALL my dogs with someone that can. These dogs depend on us just like children. I tell everyone that wants to get a puppy from us that dogs can be VERY expensive. I have not had this happen in 20 years but this year it happened twice. I am so thankful though that my girls pulled thru it all.

Wow it looks like you don’t control your dog to begin with, if it would be my dog I would let them be if you stupid enough to hurt yourself than you dont deserve to live survival of the fittest. I would def not be the idiot to pay 2k for surgery.

snajper69,
are you for real or are you trying to start trouble? I have no words for you. However, I will PRAY for you.

He's just really broke.
That's not survival of the fittest, that would be watching your best friend die and you making an excuse. Nice to see you again Snaiper. Still your sweet ol' self.

Yeah I am for real, I have quite few dogs, but they are dog’s period, not children and they never will be on the same level as children, they are domesticated animals nothing more. Neither will I pay 2k for a surgery on any of my dogs, if they would be placed back in natural environment they would not seek a doctor, unless you can prove otherwise your feelings are what screws up most dogs today to begin with. And keep your prayers for yourself there is no one on the other side to care ;) once again another believe created by man to make him believe there is something after life sorry the only thing that is waiting is a hole in the earth

dogs shouldn't be left alone with a kong or any toy...especially if they are chewers....

I am not broke. Hi beetree I am not back I never left just don't participate any more in PDB BS ;). My believe is simple. I treat my dogs well I think anyone that knows me personally can attest to that. I actually treat them better than people. But there are boundaries I treat them as animals. My dogs are my best friends actually is people that I don't like ;) lol but many people cross that line, they are dogs treat them accordingly they are born into a pack structure full of boundaries, and your job as an owner should be to maintain them. For me a dog that has no survival instinct is just pore example of the breed, I would put that kind of dog down or let him deal with his own issues without a blink. One of my favorite females and I mean best dog I ever had, has allergies and is obsessive chewer I will control the chewing but if she ever end up in need of medical attention well sucks to be her. Sorry but that’s my stand on it you might not like it, but over the time I notice that is the people that love their dogs too much that are the problems. I see people holding on to a dog so long that he suffers for at least one more year than he should. If you ask me that's pathetic.
ANd I am surre your dog suffer when the kong didn't pass but thats on you you messed up you didn't watch out for your dog to begin with, I am surre that he didn't feel the surgery and wasn't in pain after that ;), neither it will never happen again lol ;) The surgery was to make you feel better nothing else. Guilt is a bitch.
