My Xero daughter is HD 0/0. She was re-checked at 7 years old and still 0/0
She is now 11 years old and has no signs of any hip problems or spondylosis.
On the contrary, she is still as strong as an ox.

Good for you Obgs.  I have been told by those in the know that Xero is responsible for alot of bad hips and Grim is responsible for the spondylosis.  I have read that his percentages are as high as 40%(not sure if it was on here or not).  So I beg to differ and that is all I will go on about the topic as is this is a thread about Kaso.

I have been told by those "in the know" that you shouldn't listen to people who say that "they were told by people in the know".

You know what I had all my hopes dreams and hard work shattered when I had to retire my dog at the age of 4 due to bad hips and spondylosis among a myrad of other health issues, so forgive me for being a little sour on Xero.  I spent thousands on training now it costs me 200-300 dollars a month just to keep her alive. And you know what as far as temperment goes she is probably the best dog I will ever own.  I adore my Xero daughter it is just a hard pill to swallow sometimes.  I know puppies are a crap shoot, but I really got the shit on this one.

So when I said good for you I meant it.  Be gald your girl is healthy and sound.  I wish you the best with her.

If bad hips came from Xero and I am sure that some  did it was then from Klara z Pohranicni straze. Look at Xero's pedigree. 
Klara -> skip generation-> Lenka clo Noch zugelassen (=OFA miold HD) -> Xero (Skip generation) ->?HD?
It  did not come  from Kaso or Grim.
As far as Grim goes there were believes and I used to have it too and I have it even mentioned , that if Grim linebred  produced bad hips. However we had many very close linebreedings done on Grim (in order to fix  - make more dominant- the super workability of Grim ) and we even bred him with  dogs with Gero or even linebred on Gero which has Klara problem, but is super hard dog and we have actually shown that Grim  IMPROVES !!! on hips. Well heck I got me pup like that here now! There were after such linebreeding  some rare  cases of bad elbows which were removed from breeding program,  but it is now strongly believed that  Grim improves  hips. 
I was wrong. Go figure. :)

 You spend that money to keep her HAPPY and COMFORTABLE, not just alive. You wouldn't do that to a dog (let it suffer just so you would still have it) but that didn't read right if someone doesn't know you/the situation. None of my business. Sorry, but I had to qualify that statement. 

I also have to further derail and say that your case is probably one of the worst "screwed by breeder" cases I have ever heard. Your girl hit the genetic disaster lottery and she's damn lucky she's your dog and not someone else's. You should've been compensated. Big time. 

 Hans, interesting! I never heard concrete evidence that Grim was the culprit (love my Grim grandson) but that was such a common belief.

Thank you for clarifying Jen. Yes she is a very happy content dog.  I am just felling particularly sentimental about her for some reason these days.  She brings tears to my eyes, because she is such a special dog.

Forgive me I did not mean to offend anyone.  My case is just one out of many I am sure that are good.  But I did read those stats somewhere!!
