Yep, I catch myself constantly! My old girl was a bear, if I wasn't a tree I'd faceplant but with this one I do move too much! Thanks, I'll keep reminding myself.

KC your girl is lookin good!
If you do as FHtracker says and put your hand on your hip to anchor the lead, you can be a pole for the safety of the decoy and to keep proper constant pressure on the line for the dog. For us gals, we do not have the upper body or arm strength of men, so a good way to compensate with a strong dog is to anchor the line using the strength of our nether parts (our asses), if you know what I mean!


One more thing about being a good pole, unless the helper tells you to move, keep your back leg planted as the pivot, just move your front leg in the side to side direction as the helper moves, but let the helper move in and out to work the dog, you stay still.
