I could not shoot a dog I don,t think unless it were attacking me or mine. I,d still try to handle it myself. I stopped shooting coyotes about 10 years ago. maybe i,m getting soft but I don,t see the need if we shoot them all will there be any left to see in the future besides were the ones incroching on them not the other way around.

And like Bob, I'd be hard pressed to shoot someone's dog except under extreme circumstances.

All you have to do it make a place convenient and easy to grab it and shoot towards the targeted dog or dogs approaching you.
Dollar General sells it and lot cheaper sprays immediately and you do not have to guess which way it is going.
I carry can in vehicles and at all times on my belt. on the opposite hip of my gun
(at night on my property ) 2-4 a,m in the morning no telling who or what I might encounter.

I only do it with one of my dogs these days, as she is trustworthy, but for the other heathens, I recommend a slat mill (the dog turns it themselves, no electric power and low resistance, you can turn it with one finger). The dogs LOVE iT and go NUTS to get on it.
Here are a couple pics from last night. I have to really lock everyone down while working them or they all try and get on it at once!
