I did NOT like the slap with the leash, but I watched the rest of it and was wondering if the logic was...bite dirty, no fight; guard clean, get a fight. So using motivation instead of correction. Is that possible? I really know nothing about what they are doing but am merely wondering if that could be their logic. I doubt it would have worked on my evil dog but that particular dog looked like a much better sport.

BabyEagle, you are a moron.

This girl abuses and whips her dogs and screams at them in the video.  THe dog is ruined.  For a Malinois is supposed to be a good working dog and this one sucks and shows no enjoyment from anything but biting to get his frustrations out

BabyEagle4U, you're not an idiot as Feather stated, you're pretty much on the money. For those of you so anxious to give your views about the videos and the training therein, maybe you should watch this one and possibly a few more in the group before you form an opinion of the girl, her dog and the training. You might also consider that there are several dog sports,as well as various ways to train a ppd, some you might not understand from watching a short video clip, I find the dog and the training quite impressive. You might not like the technique, but it would be hard to argue with the results.  At any rate,be fair watch a little more before you form an opinion.

Feather, you said .. "More goofy dog training videos. How can a malinois that doesnt even have a focused heel or fast return to handler and heel win 1st place in any competition? Id hate to see what the other dogs looked like."

You just like to hate I think. You linked this video when saying the above ... what is your problem with the dog(s) or video or is it the people you have a problem with ? Maybe you have a problem with the girl handler ? .... she seems to be in all the video's you linked. Explain to be why this video as such is YOUR problem ... please. Just trying to understand. Beings I don't understand it, you come around as an asshole.

Some people think that the only correct way to train a dog is the sport of Schutzhund method......Thats ok, its their opinion...However, other people see training more than just a sport....That also is their opinion...I agree with the second method.........And I agree with Babyeagle4u and michael49.....and that is just MY opinion...

Well I disagree ith the comment that you don't need as much control as sport. If I was training for the street, control would be more of an issue! A dirty sportdog loses points and bites a sleeve. A pp dog out of control loses you your house and savings account.

I dont agree with her hitting the dog on the head with the leash as a correction. I believe that their could be a better way.. The dog IS NOT sharp on his outs or his recall.. But maybe we should take into consideration that this dog may still be young and green.. Maybe they are working the dog to further his training.. NO dog is perfect their first few times. No handler is perfect their first few time or even their first few dogs.. Everyone has to start SOMEWHERE and its usually the bottom..

I did see one thing that really Impressed me and I enjoyed, You dont see it often.. The dog Escorts! Wasnt very sharp on it BUT he did it.. Maybe he is learning..

I wouldnt go as far as to say the dog is out of control or that the handler has no control cause at the end the when the dog was with her she was not holding the lead.. The dog had MANY chances to hit the Helper again but he didnt.. he watched the helper but never hit him til she commanded him to.. I think its just a few Amateurs working a green dog.. Trying to get there.. I see nothing wrong with it and if the handler is the one that put that training on the dog then I give her props... Only thing I see wrong is her hitting him with the lead on the head IMHO I feel there could have been a better way to correct...

I watched the second and third video. Much better hand on the dog. So maybe the first video is in fact when the dog was learning... Very real situations..

Neither the decoy or the handler have a clue and that is all an accident waiting to happen.
