Proof of the purchase price, because they are supposed to base the customs fees on the purchase price of the animal.  Also, the customs people are pretty OK at Dallas, Luthansa will charge you a $30 or $40 fee for handling on their end.  Make sure you have copies of the veterinary passport sent or faxed to you in advance incase your flight is delayed passed the time that customs closes.....AT 5:00 SHARP!  If the flight is coming in after customs closes then you can get Luthansa to print off the paperwork you need for customs and you can take your faxed/mailed copy of the veterinary passport and PRE-clear customs!  We had to do that with the last dog I got in for a client and it was a life saver.....otherwise the dog would have had to wait till morning!

No problems. Puppy picked up at breeders home 170km NW of Frankfurt and handled all the way thru to Phila. Pink papers came in five weeks. Talked to owners of sire and dam and a grandmother also. Then talked to littermate owners of sire and dam. Something I wanted to do one time. I couldn't have gotten a better puppy. He is wonderful at almost 6 months old. I paid more than most puppies from Germany which are 600-700 euros. I paid 800e for mine. It was on that day $1164.00.

ok new here and I must have missed the joke between Two Moons and Sitas Mom. Let me in I want to LOL too!

LukasGS, the mother, Easy von der Hundshardt, of the litter you are inquiring about is the sister of my dog Emmi von der Hundshardt! You could possibly become the owner of my dog's niece or nephew lol!
"This is the litter I've inquired about. http://www.working-dog.eu/dogs-details/521213/Easy-von-der-Hundshardt

Granted I understand many say Bomber is "over-bred" but nobody is saying I'm going to breed anyhow.

Thank you Moons and Vickie, what "proof" would they be asking for?

brwalker,
ok new here and I must have missed the joke between Two Moons and Sitas Mom. Let me in I want to LOL too!

The joke is that the PDB has an advertising section for dogs and puppies.  Sitasmom has been very quick to chastise posters who advertise their litters on the forum.  She politely refers them to the advertising section.  Except for when she is shamelessly plugging the dogs she is brokering, then she will slip in a somewhat subtle add herself.

A simple case of do as I say and not as I do.  Welcome to the forum, stick around for a while and you will see for yourself.

i agree with sitismom.there are a lot of imports already here.by the time you buy the dog or pup,pay transportation and the wait at customs which usually goes fairley well you will have a lot more in the dog than you would if you bought it here.i might also add thatt here, most breeders will give you the chance to come look and pick.there is another factor.you are keeping your money here in the u.s.
