I expect my "piece of junk" to be gone by Sunday. It needs work, frame needs painting, mostly cosmetic, but is definitely roadworthy, 15" steel rims with radial tires, and a full-sized spare underneath. It was built by Egon Vollrath in his welding shop, to last a long time. The conversion van holds 6 crates. I won't be hauling 8-10 dogs to shows anymore, so its not worth it to me to keep it and fix it up. Somebody will be very pleased to get it at the advertised price. New 4 dog trailers start at about $6500. + tax, shipping, etc. Used ones are rare, only occasionally available, and often too small for GSD's.

The Beast is a full-size, high-top conversion van, with the middle seats removed and a fold down bed. It holds 4 #500 crates, and 2 #400 crates, (stacked on 2 of the 500's) and a puppy crate if necessary + all the equipment needed for a week-long trek to a dog show. I tie ex pens to the ladder in back, and if I only put 4 crates in there's plenty of room to sleep on the bed. It also has a roof rack for the beer cooler, and a bottle opener on the door, a heavy-duty alternator and a lot of 12v outlets for fans, power inverter, six-pin trailer wiring to allow for in-motion charging of the trailer battery, and a trailer brake control. (used to pull a 6 dog stell Jones dog trailer, lloaded to nearly 3500 lbs, with ease, at 12-14 mpg.) I have yet to install a deep-cycle battery and isolator for parked power. She's ugly, and heavy at 4600 lbs. unladen, but she'll haul a lot of stuff in comfort. No style, just comfort. She's been a regular at dog shows for years. Pretty much every part of her except the body has been replaced in the last 4 mos., so she ought to run for a long time more. If she weren't so darned ugly, peeling paint and a few parking lot dings, she'd be the perfect dog vehicle. Someday I'll replace her with a newer one, or another RV. My RV WAS the perfect dog show vehicle! With my 4-dog trailer on the back, I could easily haul 11 dogs, self contained for camping at the site or hotel parking lots, in complete comfort.

No, but my Aerostar extended mini-van holds 4 #500's and a ton of stuff. 22 mpg hwy when its tuned up, with AWD. Also ugly, but serviceable. I will have that for sale, in PA, as soon as I get a duplicate title to sign off.
