Two Moons

by Two Moons on 23 March 2010 - 17:03

Red Sable,
I have heard of dogs going through windows and screen doors,
It is a powerful urge for sure.

Thank you,
I'll have to get some fresh pictures of her after this is over and her coat comes back.
I think one more week and a bath and this will all be over till the next time.
I don't have any plans to breed her.

ShadyLady,
I did have a problem once, with a Beagle.
We didn't think he could reach her, but nature found a way.
I think he stood on a rock and she helped...lol

None of my girls have ever minded wearing pantalones in the house....the trick is getting me to remember to take them off some poor girl before she runs out back and poops her pants.

LOL.....

P.S.
On that note I have to go take care of things, puppies are getting their first baths today after the rain.

As a matter of fact Moons, if you go to PetSmart you can buy doggie diapers and put pads in them.  Echo has denium britches for those special times as she is an indoor dog.  Depends on the dog but she is pretty good about standing there when we take it off to go outside and when we come back in and put it back on.  Some days she would argue with me about putting it back on but I always win.  Once or twice she pulled the diaper off but for the most part she leaves it alone, even thru the night.  Sure saves on the light carpet! The hardest part is hanging onto that wagging tail and trying to thread it thru the hole in the britches.  The ones we use have velcro straps that snug up around her tummy so you don't have to wrestle getting feet thru leg holes.  And they are machine washable too.

VM... did that poor girl squated to pee, and yes I forgot to take them off. So now we have two, just in case I have to wash one.

They work pretty well, and fairly easy to get on off with the velcro. Actually doing the routine helped teach my girl the stand.

Speaking of giving puppies a bath... my wife will never forget the day she came home to 8 freshly bathed puppies running down the stairs. It was cold and muddy outside so I decided to give them all baths in the Tub... Thank God my bathroom is completely tiled on floor and half wall. To see my wifes face... ahhh brings back such great memories. (Don't think she saw it in that light, but I did)

VomMarischal,

I feel your pain!  Early morning, still half asleep, couldn't call her back.  Nature called and it's a good thing those pads can hold a lot of liquid. LOL!

Well,

Like children they will be dirty again within minutes..lol

But they enjoyed it and was a good experience for them.
