I'm no radiologist, but I think if the dog were truly dysplatic, we would see much more deterioration that just the remodeling that he had when he was younger. I don't see the arthritis like I would expect to see w/dysplasia, and I don't see the shallow sockets from being worn down continually due to a dysplastic hip. This looks, to me anyway, to be consistent with one event and not a lifelong genetic problem. I think it corrected itself w/time/healing, and that's why we don't see the normal older dysplastic dog film that is so ugly and painful looking. JMO.
Molly, I didn't know you could do that. I will have to find out about that. I have a few weird ones I'd like an opinion on but I certainly wouldn't jeopardize their current status.
