We've actually had less snow this winter than last. So far, February has been unusually nice for this part of the world. Lots of sunshine, and very little snow.
The problem is when we get snow here, it STAYS. We've had only one real thaw so far this winter.
And now you know why I bought a 5 foot high fence for the dog yard.... I'm posting this picture larger than I normally do so you can see the step I had to cut into the snow so I could climb into the yard to pick up poop! And please notice, I can't get the gate closed, because the snow has forced it up above the latch!
Here's a picture from last winter. The snow on the table is about the same height as the dog yard fence. That's a LOT of snow!!
