I'm REAL happy you are home Shelley!I I only wish them Ruby Slippers would have worked out better for you.You would have made it there a bit faster!!!

Glad to know you are off the road, with this storm comming. We California Drivers do not know how to drive in this mess. It looked like bumper cars out there today. Nor, do we build the cities to handle that much water. One of the streets had 4 feet of water.

I had Portia x-rayed today to count heads.  We counted ONE puppy. The good news is the head is not so big it will be a problem. The bad news (not THAT bad really) is that its facing towards mom's head. (breech birth). At least I don't have to worry when only one pup shows up that she has more that won't come out.
I am hoping the pup is solid black. I will keep it of course, but sad that there will be some disappointed folks with this news.
Hey--- She is not old and in great health/condition. I can title her as soon as she gets her figure back and try again!

Its good to be home.

recommend c-section - in my experience one puppy litters often get stuck - c-section to remove one live puppy is much better than emergency c-section to remove stuck dead puppy - and sometimes one puppy won't stimulate labor properly, so it runs late - puppy only gets bigger -

I do scheduled c-sections for any litter 3 or under, from past experience of puppies being too big to whelp naturally without complications.

hope it all works out ok whatever you decide to do.

Did you say 3,4 on Marc? :-) Hope it's male...and sable! :-)

Not going to catch a break today, are you? LOL

Hope all ends well with the birth of this pup. You'd be crazy not to keep it, IMHO, after all it took to get it from there to where you are now.

Shelley, I'm glad to hear you're there and settling in.  It still may not be easy, but at least you're grounded and where you want to be, among friends and familiar surroundings.  Hope all goes well with the whelping and this pup turns out to be your best yet.  Rock on!

Victory? She's not up to "V," yet, is she? Maybe something strong-sounding that means victory in another language and appropriate first letter...and for a sable male!! :-)
