Char,

We moved from St. Augustine FL to the middle of NC. Quite a temp difference and the dogs are still getting adjusted I believe.

I moved from IL(winter) to Kentucky(winter through summer) to AZ(summer) back to Kentucky(summer fall) and then IL(fall winter) and now again to AZ(spring summer fall and winter).SO i am sure that my dog is just going crazy not knowing if he should get a winter coat when it is in the 60s here in the day and 20s at night.I am sure that the weather has alot to do with the shedding. I wish I had a central vaccume system!!! I was thinking about one of those robot vaccumes....my dogs would think that is the best toy for them and last all of a day.lol

Melissa,
Sorry, I just reread your post and realized I read it wrong. So, you moved FROM FL to NC.  NC is really having a brutal winter, especially in the mountains. Well, if all 5 of your dogs are blowing their coats up there in NC, then I am going to stop worrying! Thanks!

My dogs are both in coat now.  My female blows her coat 2x a year.  My male is only 9 months so I still am watching him ( he's got a tight coat)
Lavk-9, I was looking at those Roombas from I-Robot.  They do look pretty good but I'd have to crate my male on the schedule as he'd grab it and try and chew it to bits!  I do think I want to get one!  Free me up from vacuuming!

Turns out I live only 20min away from Melissa. My girl blew her coat 4 weeks ago, first the under coat, then the top coat. Thought I will end up with a naked dog! She is back in coat now, soft and beautiful. Maybe a hint of this super cold weather to come? My puppy boy just started now. My am-line male strangly only shedds badly in the spring.

Be careful spending too much money on a Roomba. I got one 2 years ago. Didnt really take care of the dog hairs. The compartment is just too small. Its good for crumbs or loose dirt. But since I got a Dyson, mine is sitting mostly in the closet.

Well I guess I won't be going out to get a Roomba then.I thought that the compartment might be too small. There is no way it would handle the fur.Might be good for the dust that gets tracked though here though.
Elkoorr-thanks for the heads up and the pic of the dog in your avatar has a lovely face.Love that darkness and great expression!!

Thanks LavK9. Thats my girl last winter, this year she looks even better and more mature (just a bit over two years old). Here is a pic of her from last saturday running blinds.

Yup, Melissa, just around the corner up in Winston. Our group is training down by Moorsville. Drop me a note if you are looking for an opportunity to train.
