Separate Breed Registry solves the problem, could be the discussion

One for working with Breeding requirements ie testing, working ability, hips, eyes, bite etc

The other wil wither away, given enough rope-they will hang themselves

The German Sporting Breeds through JGHV precisely what I describe for US Breed Clubs with Parent club in Germany via FCI, AKC is a dirty word and they want nothing to do with it.

It cant happen soon enough for the GSD

Hate to be a terrible pedant but it does bug me the use of the word straight - correct me if I'm wrong but I think you mean horizontal i.e. parallel to the ground.

The standard does call for a straight back, but when viewed from above.

Thats an American Line Shepherd. NOT... German lines, that Vikram posted. Not ALL breeders in America are breeding this. The breeders that I know breed by SV Standards.

I was going to say that the pic used was an American showdog...Though I doubt he'd be winning any shows with ears, head, front quarters, or underline like that, anyway.  I wouldn't buy that dog for anything.

Here's one from Poland that I saw a few days ago:

for sale for 600 Euros...

Was born July 26, 2009.

Can someone tell me what it is that looks strange about his rear end?  Is it the thigh?  I know he's young and not very muscular due to age.  Do you think his ears will stand?

No, Crys, I don't think his ears will stand.  They have him stretched right out,  hard to tell what exactly he really looks like, but I'm confident it isn't my cup of  tea.

His thigh is long but the way he's stacked exaggerates the appearance.

What can't be hidden is the hump of his wither.
