Did you throw that thing in the deep fryer?
Someone once said, better you than me... I've had my fill of snakes this year.
Did you see any Antelope? What part of the east?
Those are cattle in the picture?
At least ya got out, thats great.
I had some luck this afternoon, and a steak for supper.
We had the Blue tongue here too, plus a couple of other diseases that thinned out the White Tail population pretty hard.
One will be all I'll take this year.
The dogs had a nice treat, they were all bummed because they had to stay in the kennels while I hunted.
Glad your getting better, even if it is slow going. Hell its hard enough to hit a Pheasant with two good eyes.
Just trying, and being in the field sounds great.

Several hit me.
Lost a windshield to a Turkey Buzzard once too, I went back and ran over him twice.
In my entire lifetime I have only hit one dog, and it was not my fault, he ran in front of me before I even saw him.
I go around frogs and turtles....
But Squirrels?
Those bastards!!

Hey YR,
I heard the thing rattle behind me and couldn't believe it!!!! He was just a sunnin' himself near some sagebrush. Actually this is the first rattlesnake I have ever seen in Montana. We don't have many here in the western part of the state, but eastern MT, north of Billings is filled with them...
I had to back up to shoot him and then cut off about 8 inches of snake to get by the mangled mess it made. Still stretched out pretty though..., 8 rattles <G>
I am looking forward to just being out in the mountains here in beautiful western Montana. It is not always the kill, just being in the woods is great for me. Especially with no one else around. There are plenty of deer out here, in the west, elk numbers are down in the southwest, due to the HUGE WOLF POPULATION!!! A 7 1/2 foot, 150 pound wolf was shot, a few weeks ago, just several miles up my mountain...
Anyhow, so happy to be able to at least get out of here for abit...
Take care all, Steph

Our deer population has been unusually bountiful-at least on our farm. My 15 year old son shot his first buck. Pretty impressive. I agree with Moons, though, I think Elk is about the best eating available! Wish they would migrate this direction.
Good to hear you are getting out and about, Steph. Sorry to hear about your accident and resulting vision problems. Good thing you were able to get that rattler in your sights. Good luck with your hunting next week.
