Ugly, though I disagree with your political views, I do have a degree of respect for you, usually enjoy your posts when dealing with dogs, wish you would have given it a rest on this day though.
Wish I had never opened up this thread, all the crap tainted the few good ones.

Nectar of the Gods.....LOL.
Politics !!!
This is no way to honor our Veterans.
You say thank you, and you remember the dead.
Most of them didn't have a choice in the matter.
They should declare a day set aside for politicians and call it business as usual, FUBAR !
The Vets I know just wanna get on with their lives and try not to remember most of it.
Some things never go away.
One day a year is enough.
I am happy for those who survived and sad for those who did not.
Most of my friends didn't want to be there in the first place.
Glad you made it back olskoolgsds, I'll never forget.
Moons.

Thank you Two Moons. It is one day a year and that is enough, I agree.

Not much to celebrate.. We also have a lot of homeless Veterans in our country..Here in Tyler they had a visitation to the Homeless Inn on HWY 80 known in our state...to boost the moral of the homeless Veterans living at the homeless rescue MISSION>

In the words of George Galloway..
'Our Troops are indeed Brave Lions, but they are being led by Stupid Donkeys'
I want them home. I always wanted them home.
Ive had enough of the imperial, offensive wars and Neo CON agenda.
I want to protect the border and nothing else.
I want to follow the Constution.
I dont want alliances with IsraHell or any other nation.
Sorry, I should have made myself clear. Im not anti Vet. Im anti war.
There hasnt been one worth fighting since 1812.
And Yellowrose is right.
We dont give a damn about our vets.
1/3 of all US Homeless are Veterans. Thats over 250,000 people.
No one cares. We honor them, but we dont home them.
Sad.

That aside, a big THANK YOU to those men (and more recently women) who served and continue to serve our country. May your country some day give back to you as you have given to it.
