No soft/human food in my house, ever.  She even ate kibble when she had no teeth, she swallowed it whole!  I also had her teeth cleaned regularly, the vet said it's one of the issues with the breed.  I had another who lost a few teeth but still had a mouthful when she passed.  They were the only toy breed dogs I ever had so I can't speak for any others.

I haven't heard of that.  I  have a Morkie, he is young and so far has great  teeth.  I only feed him hard food, so we'll see how he fares.  Interesting.

Some dogs doit, some don't, it's nothing common or uncommon, just one of those things.
