I have always loved this dog's pigment, size, and structure. In the first photo look at the shadow of the subjects, the front legs look a little forward in the picture, I am sure they are under the dog if you had a better angle for the camera shot. He is a very good working dog and with his structure will hold up for many years if no injuries hamper his training. What I like most about him is his lung capacity with the size of the chest area,  I bet his stamina is very good.  This is just my opinion. I am not an expert in any way shape or form.
Always,
Cee

steve, as much as can be seen from a photo, the dogs shoulder assembly looks very good, upper arm is long and well placed, Good wither and hight , very strong straight back and good croup length and angle.

I think he is a very nicely structured dog.

i  dislike the look of chunky nosed GSD's. Your dog's headshot looks beautiful to me.

Lol, steve1 I am still looking for a pair of glasses to see your latest photo of Goran.  Can I borrow yours?
Goran looks friendly definately a year ago but like you said, looks can be deceiving.
Is your brother trialing Goran?

Steve, that's a GORGEOUS headshot! (The first one, not the blurry one...lol!) I take back what I said. I think I've been looking at too many showlines with their 'chow' faces!

Do you keep your dogs outside? That might explain the heavy coat.

I've been looking for other dogs that have a long fringe on their bottom line, but are definitely not long coats, and have noticed quite a few in recent ads on the database.

Yes, I gave him to my brother about 8 months ago, He is training him now and doing a good job, We both have the same ideas on getting his SchH1 we want to be sure that he gets some high scores not just passing scores so will wait until spring to do it that will give us a few more months as his work is a little cut back at the height of the Pigeon season Both Training the Dogs and Basketing for the most important races fall on the same days Once racing is finished in early August the Dogs take priority
I have no complaints on his work to date, a few things to work on that will lose points if we enter now so that will be silly
He is a friendly Dog to people he knows, but will not have people he does not know pet him as i said he will take a step back and just look at them
When we had some English Guys come over earlier about 3 months ago they were touring the Belgian pigeon lofts and they called in to see us. They were in the Garden Goran and Izzy in there Pens
One made a move to go over to Goran to give him a stroke. I said no do not touch him,
He said he was fine with all Dogs i said again No, do not touch him, anyway i went in doors to get a few beers for them and heard a commotion. I ran back outside the Guy decided he was going to pet Goran and he put his hand in side the Bars of the pen the Dog did not get his hand but took his sleeve off about 6'' of it
What i said to him i cannot repeat here, but he was lucky i did not give him a thump myself, for being so big headed
Needless to say it spoiled the hour they spent there and the Guy felt a right fool which of course he was

People can be so damned stupid.  He's lucky his shirt sleeve is all he lost.  I think Goran is just gorgeous so I can understand him wanting to get his hands on him.  I'd be tempted myself!

Deb
Yes, the Guy waited until i went inside and then went over to Goran dispite one of the others telling him not too but he said all dogs liked him so he had to prove himself right
However he thought wrongly, and it shook him up a bit, but i was not happy at all so he was lucky he did not get more from me but they were Guests so i had to bite my lip so to speak, and keep my hands at my sides
I guess if Goran had barked and jumped around a bit he would have thought otherwise but the Dog does not do that he just watches and keeps silent that is if i am there, if not then of course he will show it
