Elkoorr,
Excellent well informed post.  JustK9's nice looking dogs.   How are they in working drives?

Andy 1971, you have your work cut out for you.  Be specific in what you want.  Saying ddr dogs 3 months old is like saying " I want a red car, can anyone help me".  There are some great Czech dogs for example that have some good solid ddr dogs in their pedigrees not too far back.  But you need to start by isolating what it is exactly you want.  Example:  do you want them for appearance, working drives, sport,  companions?  This will help those on this board help you find what you want or at least give you some good info to help you make your decision.  Then, when you know exactly what it is you want, you will get more than enough reputable kennels thrown at you.
Good luck

100% pure?

I remain dubious.
Not to offend anyone.

I know they exist, I just don't believe 100% pure is common.
To much has happened in that part of the world.

Moons,
Only speaking for myself, I agree that they are not as common.  20 years does not mean much to a breeding kennel that is intent on keeping its lines ddr.   I think the issue is not as much are they around as much as what are they like.  Are the good old ones around or do we see a watered down version of them?  As I am sure you know, any time something becomes popular, so with it comes it's demise.  Many are a shallow resemblance of what they once were.  Aggression issues may not come from a healthy head for example.  Like anything good, it seems to come to an end sooner or later.  Some of the dogs that I have been impressed with though have a cross of ddr/Czech combo.    JMO

I agree,
Once the environment changed, nothing remains the same for long.
And perhaps its just a matter of survival that brings change.
But change it does.

olskoolgsds,
Their drives are good,  although I do more obedience than Schutzhund.  The bi color female has outstanding drives and would titled very easily.

Mirasmom,
She is a girl, not a boy.. hehe
