Steph:
Thanks for the clarification.  I live outside of Atlanta and I would have thought that if an entire K9 unit was surrendered it would have been all over the AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution).

Steph and Vickie
Thank you for all that you do with your rescue efforts.  Words cannot express what a wonderful and selfless thing you both do in rescuing and rehoming these wonderful dogs.  Bless you both.

P.S.  If in fact these are not available I am still looking for a male Gsd . Color is not an issue. I would be looking to train him / her for dual purpose work. Thanks...........

Subject: Entire K9 Unit Available for Rescue at DeKalb Animal Services

There are currently 9 German Shepherds at DeKalb Animal Services. This is almost enough to outfit an entire police department with dogs! They are all in need of adoption or rescue. We have a video and group photos listed below, as well as Petfinder links and photos for each dog. Many but not all of the Shepherds are listed in the group photo and are in the video. Please let me know if your rescue group can take in any of these dogs. Please forward on to anyone you know who may like to help. Contact me ASAP if you are interested in adopting or rescuing any of these dogs.

Now what does a 7 second vid of my white rescue dog in California have to do with anything? Fine. I'll delete it.

VomMarischal, not sure what you are talking about, but the video I posted is from the animal control in Dekalb county ga. I called this morning and the puppy with the bad foot has been picked up by a rescue, I think there is still some more left there, the lady I talked to said to come down and look, so I don't know for sure how many there still is.
