DDR-DSH,
Congratulations on receiving your well-deserved and long-awaited paperwork. I just, by accident, read the thread and am so happy for you. Although a lot of things have been said on this forum and the old threads (some of which were actually not very nice!) , I am glad that you initiated this eye-opening process. I had followed the old threads and wondered what actually happened to them. You are a fighter! It is rewarding to see the results of your perseverance, specially when odds are all against you.  I had dealt, in the past, with a low-life,  money-hungry breeder (not to name or offend/insult the decent breeders) who was going to sell me a Czech dog instead of a DDR. Ofcourse, at the time I did not know much about the breeds, and luckily, at the suggestion of a friend who had suspicions about this person's character, I did not buy the dog. Months later, during our conversations the breeder mentioned the same dog and I realized I would have been decieved had I bought the dog. I had a similar experience when the breeder wanted to sell me another puppy... The list can go on. The breeder finally showed his/her TRUE colors and I realized our initial estimations of this particular breeder's character were valid!  Shame on breeders who consider financial gain as their top priority and lack desency/honesty.  I agree with Steve that things should be done just by the word of mouth or at the most by a hand-shake.  Unfortunately, in todays world these are rare commadities (which you mentioned too) and so many people do so many things to make money. Following the threads, I guess that we (and possibly many other individuals) have, unfortunately, dealt with a not so good breeder. Lets just learn from the past, forget the unpleasant experiences, move on and enjoy our life (and dogs).  I take my hat off to honest, sincere, and knowledgable breeders who try to help the breed and other fanciers, rather than solely helping their pockets.
regards

DDR_DISH:

I am glad you shared your past and made it up to date...It is refreshing to see a good end to a bad problem.. I read the past threads and followed your event....Glad it was taken care of .
No this world is not like it use to be where a man's handshake was his word...MY father in law died at  93 in OKlahoma and he told me   He sold every   Calf, every cow and every herd he ever raised  with a hand shake..
Many use to Barter back in the years before I remember.and a  Handshake to trade a calf for  a wagon or a DR visit was all that was needed..
You cannot even find a DR. that make house calls much any more or a VET that does the same...THere are some..

Like the VIRUS   the days of Handshakes and our old way of doing business has been long buried..

Thanks for your post.
