I'm unable to get a photo to post!  I've tried uploading from my computer and tried using the image link from my photobucket account, nothing works.  How do you post a photo in a thread?!

Nice looking dogs.....
I have a question?
Those of you that own long coated dogs, did you purchase your dogs purely because you sought out long coated puppies, (imports & US bred)....or did you aquire them because you were looking for "companion" puppies and the "coated" puppies were closer to the price range of your financial budget?!  ie.....breeders sold them at a lower price.
I am purely asking this question, because I am being inquisitive......no malice reasons behind the question.

I could start another topic....if you think this one leads away from the original post?

I allways had coats I was raised with them and always will have coats I only get my coats from Home ( Germany ) I know Coats really not like on this Forum but I believe each there own, I do like some Standards and would never bash them in anyway.
Prize ? you can get Standard Coats much cheaper with full Reg. then a coat with Limited and Spayed /Neuter Contract, so really either way you look at it it comes out the same , as I noticed here many breeders who has a coated one in their litters sale them for the same amount as the standards without Spay /Neuter Contract.

Clydewatson- Brava, or as her owners call her, "Voodoo", is in a pet home, spayed, with limited regstration. She is a lovely dog, one of the happiest dogs I have ever met, truly loves life and is enthusiastic and fearless.  I was eyeing her for my "keeper" of that litter until it became apparent she was a longcoat. Her owner brought her to my beginner class, that is why you remember a photo of her and her sister.

I look forward to not needing to write of an excellent pup for show/sport/breeding due to a long coat.  And good question Robin, it occured to me the other day that if the SV accepts coats there should be no need to treat a LC puppy as a faulted dog that needs to be sold at a discount.  Brava, for example, I sold for several hundred dollars less than her stock coated brother, although in my eyes she had a more correct working temperament.

Delacruz, very nice boy, would you attempt to obtain a SchH title for him if he could be koerklassed?

Crhuerta--when I got my gsd (now 6 months old)  I was not looking for a particular kind of coat, I wanted the GSD for the traits that are common to all coats.  It just so happened that the breeder I wanted to buy from had a LC female available, last of the litter and she was so cute I had to take her.  Plus, since I was thinking about doing the therapy dog thing (I am a geriatric, mental health nurse) I thought the LC might be a better choice, softer looking, less a look that might intimidate people.

cost had no weight in my decision.  I did get her some cheaper I think because she is a LC.  Didn't ask, but looking at breeders price range, maybe $500 cheaper.  I paid $950

A lady i recently met with a beautiful LC male says she paid $3500 for him because she want a good stud dog with full registration, since she wants to breed LCs.  Probably, that had something to do with the cost.

Here's a better pic of Bella,  she is 1 yr old.   What are your critiques?   She is a Quantum Arminius/Jaguar Mausespitz granddaughter.    That "lump" over her hip is some unruly hair that refused to lay flat....just imagine it's not there, lol.
