Good,
I remembered worst case remove the leg from your post.
With therapy I think she should get past the pain in time.
I hope so anyway,
Moons.

Hello,

Im just curious as to the stem cell thing. I was wondering.... it seems like a good option and lasts 4-5 years, why you wouldn't go that route. Is it something you could repeat in 4-5 yrs when its benefits wear off? Also, if im not being to personal, how much would that cost and what kind of recovery period would that be? It sounds to me like that would be something to explore. Ofcorse, in the mean time as the others have said therapy, therapy and more therapy.

Good luck : )

I had a gsd who had alot of knee problems, ended up with surgery, but also went on to a vet who was also an acupunchurist(sp), as well as certified in Chinese medicines,,I definately saw improvements, tho the CM's were not cheap.
Good luck with your girl

I got the Stem Cell ideal off of this board and asked my Vet(boss) to check it out and let me know what he thought about it.  from what I read your vet takes 4-5 tablespoon size fat from behind the ribcage, then ship it over night to this lab and then they ship it back overnight to your vet and he injects it into the joint.
There is a Animal Hospital in Carbondale, IL. that does it and the website said about 3-4 thousand dollars.  And also the website said that the 4-5 tablespoons give you about 3 injections.  The video I watched was with a GSD that had HD and it took 2 weeks for her to be running around and jumping into the car.
I would guess you would have to pay for storage of the stem cells, my Vet was concerned that fat was not a good source of Stem Cells, but that bone morrow was better.
