Congrats.
Guelph is a good vet college, the vet probablly teaches a course in reading ultrasounds. Not an easy thing to do.
The mom is pretty, and th epool is a pretty good whelping box.
It always amazes me how fast they grow. When mom was breeding, did it happen of a few days? That is a big size differance.

Because of the pyo, they did artificial insemination, to avoid introducing bacteria. The A.I. was done twice, two days apart. My friend's male, who provided the semen, now likes going to the vet...
Sometimes with large litters, there just isn't enough room for the placenta to attach, so the pup gets a smaller share of the nutrients. I've heard the small ones can catch up, though.
The pool is not an ideal whelping box. The pups can get squished, as there's no rail. Apparently the owner's hubby isn't handy with tools, nor is my friend, so it was the best they could do. The pattern on the bottom of the pool also holds blood and poop in the crevices, so not good for sanitation, either.
Maybe when her finances have recovered from the expense of treating the pyo, and doing the A.I., she can buy a nice ready-made box for the next litter.
I'm fairly good with simple carpentry, so I might make her one, though it won't be fancy.

Why the name "Story" sound familiar to me? Has their website been linked here before?

The owner of the bitch doesn't have a website. I know I've linked the main ISSR Shiloh website before, but can't recall if I ever mentioned my friend's dog by name. Story is her call name, not her registered name.
The photos are posted on my personal photobucket account.
Why do you ask?

It's an unusual name, and it rang a bell to me, is all.
