Maybe if people in the breed could be supportive of each other, and protect the reputation of the breed and each other instead of the typical destructive petty BS, lying, personal agendas and vicious nonsense on this board .  If the crap stopped maybe the really truly terrible things could be rationally addressed.  I think anyone with a modicum of intelligence and reasoning ability who has read much of the board over the past 5 years will decide that there is nothing of credibility or value here.  Some of those protesting this have done their share of stirring the pot of BS

Clean up your behavior here and use that energy to fight the PETA BS, HSUS etc.  The enemy is not within the ranks of GSD people and there is a lot of windmill tilting here.

I'm sure KCzaja was describing what PETA would think of the sport if they caught wind of it - describing the normal padded-stick  hits as "beating with a stick" and any normal prong-corrections as abusive and terrible.  She is right, it would be best if PETA did not focus on our dog sport because even the most humane and normal training methods can be construed as abusive by the animal rights fanatics.

Wow, talk about sarcasm going totally over one's head.

Mystere, you are not alone. I bought my car for the dogs, with the kids gone I do not need all that room, but they do! They also need air condioning in the back!

That whooshing noise I heard when I read mahon's post must have been the sound of him/her missing the point completely.
WHOOSH!

mahon

No I did not miss the point. I was being just as sarcastic as she was.

On the other side of the coin it is a post like hers that PETA would love to quote in a court of law. Taking it as an omition of abuse from someone in schutzhund as fact not sarcastic humor.

I thought maybe she would get the hint, and realize I was trying to cover her Butt. Not to say such things as a matter of fact, but with a LOL or Ha Ha. at the end of her discription. Otherwise she may find herself in a court room with PETA defending her comments someday.

Now I hear the distinct sound of backpedaling...

mahon

BITE ME.

No Reverse here. I say what I mean and mean what I say. If you do not understand how PETA works. One day you will. And no one will be able to help you then.

Your pockets will understand, what I meant if you keep posting comments like that. Most people are smarter then to say something as a matter of fact on a thread that PETA is probably watching. Go ahead keep it up. Some people learn quicker then others.

You know, there is no need for the nastiness.

Maybe Kathy could have pasted a smiley on the end, but the rest of us "got it" fine.  Your post does appear to be backpedaling.    I also don't know what you mean by "omition."   Are you saying that her post is acknowledging that there is no inherent abuse in schutzhund (omission)?  Or, did you mean to say "admission"?
