KCzaja it's not just "loose stool" it's really bad diarrea.  The food shouldn't be half the size of normal either.  They have never had any problem before from bag to bag of this food.

I hope they didnt change it, I started feeding it a month ago and all the dogs seem to really like it (high plains formula) solid stool and they all eat it down very well 2 cups in the morning per dog and at night the current training dogs get 2 leg and thigh quarters of chicken each.

I noticed the size of the kibble was smaller as well. It also had a very odd powdered coating that was several different shades. I will not feed it again.JMO

I recently tried the high plains (bison?) formula and my picky boy loves it so I picked up more.  I just ordered the fish based one for the lower protien for my pet female.  I hope they haven't messed it up.

I quit feeding it because of who makes it. They just seem to need a matter of time before they screw anything up!

Orijen people Orijen! I'm onmy 12th bag, Baden still loves it and is doing well. Kibble always looks the same and fresh. I love those vac sealed bags, reminds me of coffee when I cut one open.

I've been feeding TOTW Pacific Stream Salmon since January (I think).  I did notice the kibble size was smaller but not 1/2 the size and the color was slightly different.  I'm still feeding it.  My female hasn't had any of the problems that you've experienced (knock on wood) and her stools are firm.

4pack - I really like the ingredients in the Orijen...just didn't like the high price.  I haven't checked recently but it was well over $60 and I thought it was an 28 oz bag.  I could be totally mistaken on that though since like I said - I haven't checked in a while.

I've fed it since it came out.  Never any problems with it.  2 months ago I went back to raw (only because $400 min order for me to get direct from distributor). I still keep TOTW as a backup when I forget to lay something out.   I know Diamond makes it, only reason I feed it at all is because of it being grain-free, since corn and rice seems to have issues, and NOT just with diamond.  Alot of manufacturer's had issues the last round.  So that said, I will still continue to feed TOTW as a backup.

crazee, it's 28lb bags not oz. I'm not close to rich but figure if I'm going to splurge on anything, it will be food. Good food is the foundation of any living being. So I eat Top Ramon so my dogs can have the best. LOL

Even if it was $90 a bag I'd buy it. I can't even feed myself for $90 a month, think about it that way instead of how much more it costs than other brands. I'm actually shocked because Orijen isn't even close to being the most expensive brand out there. Evo and TOTW both cost more here than Orijen per bag. Go figure that one?!

I still supplement my Orijen kibble with RAW, when I can find meat for less than $1 a pound. Harder and harder to do in this inflated economy.

Our local wal-mart regularly has chicken quarters(leg and thigh) for 4.30 for a 10 pond bag.
