I am all for it! Our working lines dont have to hide behind the show lines. In Atlanta (Sharpsburg) is the next bigger conformation show end of May. This one should attract much more working line dogs then usual seen at the SV shows here in the US. I dont want to be the only dark sable anymore...........LOL

Anyone going to Atlanta?

Hey, my sister lives just north of Atlanta!  I wonder if this would be a good show for me to go to.  I'm completely new to this, please be nice if this was a stupid question.

Here is the link, entry deadline aproaches fast. You have to be a member of USA, and your dog registered with USA also. I am pretty new to this show stuff myself, only two regional shows attended so far, but hey - there is for everything a first....LOL

Puppy classes up to 12 months - just walking/running  in the ring. Judge will line/place during walking, till he is happy with final placement.

Youth up to 18/ Young dog up to 24 months - walking/running in the ring, single stacking in front of judge for conformation critique, single straight away/towards judge gaiting, gun test, height measurement, theeth/bite

I think the procedure is the same for Open class which are dogs older then 24 months with NO working title (highest rating SG)

Working dogs older then 24 months with at least a SCH1 or Herding title........ all of the above, plus 1 single off leash gaiting round. Best rating V.

Running can be done on fursaver death ring or, the showliners like to use a special "show collar" and an approx 9 foot leash.

You can also do a dental notation. Especial great when you do plan on a breedsurvey later on and are worried that the dog could break a tooth off during bite work. A missing tooth can cost you if you cant prove that it was there to begin with.

Please take requirements for breed survey from the website, it will include attack out of the blind, measuring, gun test, weighting and theeth.

Ok, thats what I recall. Please feel free to add or correct. Videos should be avaiable on Youtube.
