Thank you, Jeff for cutting and pasting it. Now, regardless of age, all who are literate may read it. They may also, if literate, bother to read the resolutions at the 1998 GBM. Age is not the issue, literacy, however, may be. The rule establishing the qualifying score, btw, is even older...from the 80's, I believe, but you are welcome to check that out. Fortunately, the information is easily accessible. Also, don't use words you don't understand. I have never even met Lisa Jaquin. LOL In the future, I will endeavor to merely ignore you and your idiocy, Pat. Once again, you have contributed nothing, other than showing your backside. LOL

Good Luck to the competitors in the WDA Championship this weekend. the remaining Team members will be selected based on that championship. There arew individuals in that event who have not participated in the two USA qualifiers thus far. Also, as Jeff points out, the composition of the FCI Team is also determined from these events. So, several people still have a shot at international competition. Tag! LOL

So Mike Diehl IS on the team and you made a mistake but cannot admit that your mistake. What a pig.

ummm, I might be missing something, but the last time I checked
the 2009 AWDF championship didn't happen yet....

I was at Mike's club this weekend. He is on the world team.

The World Team Committee must determine the Team composition and has not yet done so. It won't until after the AWDF Championship. While undoubtedly Mike Dielh will make the team, please realize that scores alone DO NOT DETERMINE who represents USA. The rules call for consideration of performance consistency and exemplary sportsmanship and self-control. I have no doubt that individuals who have been mentioned on this thread will all make one team,or the other. But, until the Committee actually makes its determination, no one is "on" the Team; people have fulfilled criteria to make the Team. (AFAIK, both Diehl, Cox and other competitors in the last two qualfying events have presented themselves and conducted themselves in nothing less than a sportsmanlike manner, so no one should even try to read anything else in this) Also, it has happened at times that individual competitors were in a position to chose which team (WUSV or FCI) to be on. We will know the composition of both teams in a few weeks.

Over here it is somewhat different, We have Three sectional trials, you must get a score above 270 to enter another one. You do not have to enter each of the first two if your score is over the above, but you do have to enter the final Section trial which was last Sunday, from this trial the first three dogs Como, Elk and Enzo go through, from here the reserve is Arco
Now we have to wait for the trials to finish from the Wallonia part of Belgium, at the moment i think they have two certain to go through but after the final trial we will know for sure
Como went into the first trial and scored 293 winning that trial then the final one sunday he won again with a score of 291

Mike Diehl received  a score of 277 at the USA Nationals in Austin, TX.................
                    Jeff

The 2008 USA-GSD National Champion and 2009

USA Working Dog Champion must have received a

qualifying score of 270 points at one of the other

qualification trials in order to have a guaranteed spot

on the USA WUSV World Championship Team.

c. A club of which the candidate is not a member must

have hosted one of the two qualifying trials.

Jeff, No one is disputing Mike's scores. :-) As I said, it is not a "done deal" until the Committee makes a decision, it is not "all" about scores. USA has declined to allow a person on the Team, despite having the scores. That individual engaged in questionable actions with their dog, so the Committe and EB said no to that person being on the Team. The person was not allowed to represent USA. There have been "re-examinations" of potential team members since, and very recently, in fact. I am simply making the point that USA's team determination is not based "solely" on scores. I think most people "get" that. Mike is certainly an above-board person. But, you probably are aware that we do have some scum, nuts, criminals and crazies in this sport (some of them pop up regularly, and predictably, on this forum, even on this thread). No one would want any of them representing us in international competition, just because they had the scores! LOL Think about it. That is what the committee is for.
