Okay well I will have everyone know that Judy called me and sent me my deposit back right away.
I will stand by her integrity, and everyone should know that she is ethically good.
Since I promised to keep everyone updated on what happens in this matter I will say this...
Judy called me and was very polite and promptly refunded my deposit in cash, and I have no problems with her at this point.
Her comment regarding the other breeders in this matter was that the other breeders should spend their effort fighting breeder legislation and other worthy causes instead of attacking each other.
I think she is right.
In any case, I think there is a lesson learned here and I am just glad I got my deposit back without having to go to court or anything else.
Thanks Judy.

Thanks, Uberland, and others, for being so sane and sensible in your replies. You are absolutely right that there is a lot of scuttlebutt and sabotage coming from idiot breeders who are so consumed by jealousy and competitive urges that they take these unfair pot shots. The consumate idiots, however, are the people who listen to that garbage, and don't take the time to try to know people for who they are. Judy is a really, really NICE person, and REALLY is so devoted to the dogs. Having met my fair share of jerks in the dog world, I am all the more appreciative of the NICE ones, and that is why I like Judy Dominguez.
I am the person who is raising the litter for Judy. This is my first litter in ten years, and this pathetic attempt at a dramatic episode is a classic example of my reasons why. I love the dogs, but I am sick of dealing with people. If it were up to me, I would NEVER sell this guy a puppy! I heard the pup was going to be for PSA. OK, but who the heck wants to train a talented dog only in bitework, anyway? Depending on the person, it could be alright, maybe.. But, then again, this would be MY first "red flag". Like I said, it might be OK, and I am not forming an opinion on PSA, but I would really be extra careful about selling a puppy to someone who is only interested in bitework.
Now, I think that my instincts were correct. Posting this on the internet so hastily is, in my opinion, one step short of bullying and smacks of libelous intent... again, my opinion. It really is one of the few things that I DON'T like about PedigreeDatabase, but when I see that there are sensible replies, I think it all works out OK.
I personally went out to Judy's place, and saw her dogs, about six months ago. The dogs are gorgeous and in the best condition. I would love someday to have a nice place like hers. It's darling, and she has LOTS of space, kennels well set up, etc. The dogs all have it good there! They get the best food, have lots of room and exercise, and Judy takes great care to socialize them.
I was very willing to meet with this guy and let him take his time to choose the pup he wanted, just as Judy instructed. But, I have a life, other than dogs, and a lot of other responsibilities. We just had a death in the family, and I take care of an invalid, and much more.. This is not "Pets R Us". This is my home, and I have a right to some privacy and time to manage my personal affairs. I have seldom seen it to where a puppy visit was under two hours, and really, it ends up being half a day, because there is lots to do to prepare for company. Naturally, you want everything to be clean, but dogs don't eliminate on schedule, and there is lots to do in the morning before visitors arrive. A puppy buyer visit pretty much shoots the day. I personally find it very annoying when people think I run a petting zoo, and want to take up so much of my time, especially if it is not purposeful or necessary. I understand, it has to be done, and I always tried to be congenial (I used to work in the public sector and I know how to be pleasant and professional)... But, again, this is why I don't want to sell puppies, anymore. I am raising these pups for Judy, for friendship only, and because I like the dogs.. I will refuse any money from her for them. I told her I would ship them anywhere she wants, but I really didn't want to deal with looky-lou's and local buyers. I was going to make an exception for this one guy, because I figured he was a sportsman and wouldn't be a problem. Well, I think I made a false assumption, there, and personally, I am SO glad that this one fell through.
And, the more astute of you are correct, that there is not much that can be seen at three and a half weeks old. That's how old these pups are. They are just starting to really play and interact, and they j

Well at least this story has a happy ending. Real premature to "jump the gun" and start posting "problems" here, giving the breeder only two days to respond. Oy vey!

Wow! My reply got cut off and truncated...
..really not impressed with the text editing function, either. A lot got lost, but it's OK.
I think that Danny really missed out on this one, because I already see some promising pups. But I hate dealing with the "nervous nelly" types, anyway. They're nothing but trouble and annoyance, down the road. Danny thinks that he was the only one feeling uneasy? LOL. The way he was flipping around, I was kind of hoping this deal fell through, and it looks like I got my wish. There are some people I don't want to deal with, and then there are some I personally just would not sell a puppy to. It's not like I don't care where they go to, you know? If I don't have the right puppy for you, I tell you straight up, but dogs are not just a "product" with an obligation to satisfy a demanding owner. I always worry when people expect so much of the puppy, and what will happen to it if it disappoints? I'd rather in a way that they go to a good pet home where the dog will be loved for itself.
It was not up to me, because these are not my pups.. but personally, I would not want to sell this guy a puppy. I'm so glad that things sometimes work out right!
As for the malicious rumors about "sick" pups coming from Judy, I can tell you that I went and saw Judy's place six months ago, and the dogs have it good with Judy. I think I know where the toxic rumors are coming from, and I think this guy's a jerk and I've told him as much. His own reputation is going to catch up with him someday. The thing we all need to remember is that we hurt our own community and our dogs by spreading malicious rumors. It comes back on all of us, eventually. We have enough enemies out there who want to end all breeding of purebred dogs and domestic animals, that we need to stand together!
Take a look at the pups on Judy's website http://www.arizonablackshepherds.com, and tell me if those pups look sickly to you.. As for me, I've been "criticized" and accused of lying (about the age), when presenting twenty pound pups at eight weeks for a health certificate (OK, eight weeks and three days). You learn a few things about raising dogs with 25 years experience!

What's good for the goose is good for the gander - Danny's full name should be the subject of a post here and on German Shepherd Consumer Reports because breeders would be well advised to stay away from a manipulative little weasel like this guy.

I like how THIS post didn't get deleted. So much for standing up for that TOS, huh?
I agree with oldlineschutzhund, too.

I personally can't stand breeders that trash talk other breeders, it would be an immediate red flag to me. Often, it's repeatedly the same breeders that do the trash talking. And there's too many "Danny's" out there to avoid them all.
by Russ on 23 April 2009 - 13:04
It's always the same breeders that trash talk other breeders............Shame that they don't spend that time and energy on their own breeding program.
There are a couple that I use to have a lot of respect for but after watching their internet antics.....................

I agree with Uber and others. You do your research after the fact that a deposit was placed, want your deposit back because you were too stupid to ask for information first, you publicly bash the breeder, try to ruin her reputation by warning people not to do business with her, and act as though you are going to take legal action against someone that has done nothing wrong.
I wouldn't have given you 1 penny back. I would have told you to come for the refund as you suggested so I can tell you to piss off in person. It is one thing to be screwed and have a legitimate complaint, but the only thing that I see here is your blatent ignorance. I don't know Judy and I don't care who Judy is. I just felt like addressing the Moron of the Year. I hope you feel a sense of pride in that. There are tons of morons on here and you are the winner, by a mile.
Next time you give someone money, make sure you consult with an intelligent person first.

DDR-DSH,
That was put beautifully,
Thank you for your post, it's very refreshing to read a post that I find makes alot of sense, sometimes
people are so impatient, they get all aggravated and take it out on the breeders.
Sorry to hear that's happening to you, just always remember "You can't fix stupid"
