Sue,
I think you have made the issue of a fun longcoat class more complicated than it is.It is simply a class for longcoats, i dont think anyone out there would wonder if they had to dress there longcoat up or not and if they did it would just add to the FUN of it.
Why are you making such an issue of this, why are you not reading this as i think everyone else is.Its a show with added extras that will make it more inviting to a larger spectrum of people ie with longcoats, thus increasing interest and profit for our breed. That cant be a bad think.
The committee have just tried to come up with something a little more different and you are bashing the idea, its a very good idea and there are a lot of people out there with stunning longcoats and here is the Gsd League giving them a chance to show them of.
And i hope they all do.

For your information Sue, I have my own MIND, Phil is busy working now, as apart from Dogs we do have a LIFE. I thought it was pretty ovious by my reply, maybe you just wanted a dig at me, spitefulness is not my game Sue, but I can try!
AND a bit more information for you Sue, my mum and dad wasn't bothered how the class for their Long Coat was to be judged, they just wanted to come and show him off. It always appears your 'constructive critism' is always right.
I thought this show was for everybody and not just for the EXCLUSIVE,
Regards
Kerry

P.s It cant be that bad a thing to do as one of the largest best well known dog food companies is is full suport as they are sponsoring the show, and a few well known names are taking time out to judge these fun classes.

So what happened to Karen Sygroves post? Kerpow, it just went!
Joyce, I asked a viable question as to how the Fun longcoat class would be judged and do not think that to be an unreasonable question considering the one previously raised by the Newbie, I also asked that it be taken as constructive critism which Council members of our most premier breed club should be grown up enough to take. However I do feel considering this show is held by our WUSV member club that more care should be taken when advertising such classes and perhaps a FUN CLASS should be made more clear, like the one the judge would most like to take home, the one with the cutest smile, saddest eyes, longest coat etc NOT just a FUN class for long coats. Whichever way you look at it this could be misleading for some of the entrants. I too would like to see a good turn out for Tony as attending a show to honour the memory of Tony is what a Memorial Show should be about not all the gimmiks and as for the puppy walk, well least said soonest mended there.
Best Regards
Sue

Karen, you say FUN classes in the plural, that was one of my points besides Long Coats what other FUN classes are there?
Regards
Sue
PS - Just seen your new post where you mention people out there with Stunning long coats, again that is my point, if the longcoat is to be judged for its superiority in construction then it should just be a Long Coat class and not FUN class for longcoats. If its going to be judged on a FUN aspect then Ok, but if some make an effort for FUN and it turns out to be judged purely on construction then thats misleading.,Its all in the wording , I just hate it when people are constantly being misled.

Ok Sue would it suit you if the word "FUN" was just taken out, would that make it simpler for you.Talk about splitting hairs.
All details are wriiten on the League web site which i am sure will make for good reading.

And as for making it simpler , if you mean making the conditions of ENTRY for a class more precise YES thank you it would.
And do I take it YOU are also Now speaking on behalf of the GSD League?
