What is wrong with the system it won't post my whole thread ?

Just curious how ya'll were diagnosed.

I've had problems since I was 2 yrs old, 26 yrs later, they still don't have a clue about me, some have said fibromyalgia, others have told my that term is only used by drug addicts looking for their next fix. so I am at a loss.

My Mother has : Fibromyalgia,

Chronic Fatigue

Chronic sinus infections

Depression

Migranes

Acid Reflux, so bad she no longer has the valve to stop the acid from coming up.

Swelling in her ankles.

After a tremendous amounts of "Pharmaceuticals", that caused more harm than good. I finally convinced her to Try " Nutriceuticals " Nutritional derived therapy.

She has now been drug free for 8 months

Glad you are feeling better!!

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 12 years ago-dreadful affliction!!! Many symptons and varies for every person. Thought I was having a heart attack once and they said it was fibromyalgia. 16 ( according to my PCP) points on your body can help determine if you have fibromyalgia among other ways of course. My 8 pound cat liked to sleep on my chest and when he walked on me right bleow my collarbone I would wince with pain. There are many symptoms with fibromyalgia-I hiked daily with all my GSD's would not stop even if I had to drag myself out-walking seemed to help me alot. I am tired a lot too. On a rare day when I don't have as much pain- I feel so happy and have so much energy that's when I realize how much pain I am in all the time is on a day like that. I am glad I saw this thread! I am going to ask my doctor abot Cymbalta-maybe it will help me too. katrina

I don't think anyone answered about how they went about getting diagnosed. what test did you take? or was it just elimination on the Drs. part. ruled everything out and just told you you had fibromyalgia.
