Thanks for clearing that up. I figured if anyone would know about it, you would!!
I still am curious to their statements of being a non-profit. As all that involves tax returns.

Even though they state it on the website, it doesn't mean that they are "really" non-profit, could be just PR for the visitors. (could also mean that they are, just pointing out the fact that your not really required to tell the truth on your own website)

The tax status of a group does make a difference to its financial supporters. A contribution to a non-profit is tax deductible whereas a gift to a not-for-profit is just that, a gift without deduction benefits.
Oli, your bracketed comment reminded me of an old cartoon of two dogs in front of a computer: "On the Internet they don't know we're dogs". Anyone remember that?
