Onyxgirl, Thanks for the compliment on Askia. She barely had a black stripe going down the middle of her back. I honestly thought she was going to turn out lighter than what she did. I've never had a pup (now adult) look like her either. If you see her in person she has a wolfy face to her. This is also what people tell me when they see her.
sdowden, I would just look at your puppy's parents to see what they look like. It should be close, but then again I don't think my girl Askia looks anything like either of her parents, but I could be wrong too :-)
