Put on some Luther Vandross, cook up a nice italian dinner, light some candles and give them some quality time alone for the whole night. trust me, they will all thank you tomorrow.

I just went thru the same thing also. I made arrangements ahead of time for the female to stay with a friend. Got her back last Friday (day 23) and my male was on her like white on rice. Too soon! So now the male is over by the ex. So now I've got until July to decide if I will have one of them fixed or play musical dogs again.

Go the health food shop and buy some Chlorella tablets.  The Chlorophyll in them helps to mask the sent.  A friend of mine used the tablet on her girl and was able to go to Crufts with her bitch on day 14 and didnt have any problems!

If you can afford to and for your peace of mind board the males at a reputable kennel until your girl is out of season.    You don't want to risk their fighting or having so much howling and noise your neighbors call animal control.

Just my 2 cents.

Small quarters here too.  But only one male and one female, think I'd go crazy too with two intact boys around.  Took awhile, but with some careful management the howling/whining is to a minimum.  Though my boy has spent a few nights in the car for my own mental sanity!   Coming to be that time again next month, oh joy!

Orchardhof took the words out of my mouth. Boarding is a great idea. Fortunately our male is not the "manly" type and could care less when our females are in heat, but from time to time I would watch my friends VERY macho, horny, male. I kept them crates on separate parts of the house. Never had much of a problem.

ummmmhmmmmm......i've got 2 in heat right now.  one older male is a total doorknob.  he has wrecked more crates over the years than i can begin to count.  he goes off his feed for each of the girls and looks like death warmed over by the time he begins to eat again.  the other boys are really gentlemen, thank god.  i did get one of my older girls spayed last fall, so i only have 3 fertile girls to worry about.  in a year or so, i plan to get 2 more of them spayed.  you have my sympathies and, i don't know if it helps or not, but you aren't alone in your suffereing.  hehehe

We worked it out and only my bitch will be neutered.
We have to super studs and they will be intact for ever :)
We put the crazy male in the trailer for the night.
My lovely lady stayed in the crate in basement and our old timers stayed with us.
End of drama.
Also when Mark is home he has better control of them.
Not sure if it matters that he has been working and training Uruk everyday and has him on power fuel.
I wanted a male to start with but my breeder talked me into a female NEVER again

hahaha to BOARD THE MALES! Mark would board me and Voxi which is not sounding to bad at this point lol.
We are all good this morning boys went to training so it is just me and my Boston who is neutered and air humping nice!
Anyone wanna come to my house!

You know I do just crate them all or separate some or when they are clean let them hang on the couch with me. But had I not just sat down and gotten all cosy to watch my shows I missed from the past 2 weeks on the DVR it would not have been too bad.  Did you ever just want to sit and not have to get up for a dog for maybe 20 minutes!

And I admit I am not the Alpha here Mark is and these guys do take some advantage especially Uruk he is coming into his own and he is training 2xs per day on so is getting super confident more and more by the day!  This boy is gonna be quite something on the field be on the look out for some entertainment :)

Off to clean this dog house!
But the good news is spring is coming snow is gone and I see bulbs!

Yipee
