You can do the P1 or PD1 in any order, but you have to do your FO first it is like the BH.

4pack the FO is an on leash OB routine and their is a practicle exam also. You can do this in the morning and then do your P1 in the afternoon. PM me and I can give you more info. Better yet I can get you  into contact with people.

Didn't find anything about an FO. I read it like I must first pass the OB in the P1 routine not a seperate OB routine first.

I heard yesterday there was going to be a trial in Loomis this coming May. Talk to JYL, she might have the details. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yup Guru, that would be the trial I'm talking about, at Kathy Thomas' place. GARD knows her and where it is.

That person would be great to contact for any questions on SDA. She's a member of the organization and an SDA judge also.
SDA will also be at the UKC premiere this summer for people in that area who would like to see what is involved..more info is available on the UKC site.

I am very happy to answer questions. You can certainly ask here, or contact me at the email listed in the ad. This is my dog, and the photo is actually from an SDA trial - a long bite under gunfire. My site has photo galleries for the dogs, and there are alot of photos (especially in my boy's gallery) from SDA trials.

If you visit the SDA website (www.servicedogsofamerica.com) and visit the "General Info" tab in the horizontal menu, you will find alot of good reading. If you click on the "Find an SDA Club" link in that same drop down menu (http://www.servicedogsofamerica.com/GeneralInfo/SDAclubs.html) you will see that some of the clubs have websites. Our club has a photo gallery from SDA events, as do many of the club sites.

And here is a good discussion with alot of photos and explanation of many of the titles

MANY breeds compete, including mixes. We have entrants coming from many backgrounds - PSA, K9 pro sport, Schutzhund, French Ring, Mondio, and working (street) K9s. We draw agility and obedience dogs for the obedience titles. We have SAR teams that have required the Family Obedience title as part of their certification for their team.

It's a program that many people really enjoy as either their primary sport, or an additional sport. It's a friendly organization with ease of starting a club. Please visit the SDA website www.servicedogsofamerica.com. LOTS of info on there.
