Yambo is a plush coat, or show coat.  my female Ezra has a coat just like him, very thick and full.  but she is ALOT redder, her sire is VA Voltan.

coated dogs generally have soft fluffy hair in front, behind ontop of its ears  and on the side of its face just below the ears , lots of longer hair in its ears, longer hair inbetween their toes, hair that more or less parts on their back and very large and fluffy pants.

the linked dog doesn't have any of these things - well cannot really tell about the toes.....

The pup for sale is a longcoat, just look at the ears!  She's young and the rest of her coat has not developed yet.  The male in the other advert is normal coated, a very luxurious coat, but again, look at the ears.

As an owner of 3 LC GSD's and they are all different in their coats.

Female #1  has normal length on her back, long coat on belly, slight length behind the ear, feathering on her legs and toe tufts.

Female #2 has lots of ear tufts and toe tufts, even her dew claws have tufts, longer belly hair but a short tight coat on the body.

The male has long coat every where, ear tufts, not so much on the toe tufts, but longer coat than female # 1 across the entire body.

It can take up to 3 years for some of the length and fluffiness to be complete.

Vetgen has a DNA test for long coat, it is a $50 test to prove if the dog is genetically a long coat or just a carrier.  if they WANT a genetically long haired dog for breeding, then this is the way to prove it.  If they just want a long coated dog to look like the other one, they may be out of luck finding one to match the other.

Just a small point, taken from SitasMom's post -  TRUE longcoats are fairly rare. These are the dogs which have little or no undercoat, and the hair parts down the back. Far more common are the long stock coats ( my old guy was one) which DO have an undercoat, and this can be quite profuse (his was, it was thicker than the stock coated dogs I have now). With this type of coat there is most definitely no parting of the hair on the back... ..........I'm with Molly on this one, I think we'd need to see this young dog at a later stage, and in a stack, to be really sure of the coat issue.....
