I had a female pup out of this litter. I was so disappointed in everything about her. At a year old she only weighted 35lbs and for her body size that was a bit overweight and her temperament was awful, she was scared of everything  that moved and every sound. I had to place this girl in a pet home. When she was spayed the vet said it would have killed her to carry a litterof pups .

This female don't look much bigger if any.

I'm shocked...having come from such a stellar breeder, LMAO.

I agree its not a sound breeding for so many reasons, but if you don't believe a dog is fully capable of having a healthy litter at the first cycle you are wrong.
Happens all the time.
Same has been true of thirteen year old girls, since the beginning of time.
Not saying its good, just saying its real.

I agree w/TM. I can't even say that a dog is not physically mature at a year old...especially a small one. Actually, one of my dogs' dams was only  a year old when she had his litter...a great litter of 7 healthy pups. Her bday was represented wrong, and her true age didn't come out until afterwards- no one did it on purpose.

While it's probably not something I would do...I can't say it's unhealthy in many circumstances. There was a time when 13yr old girls were commonly having babies...no big deal.

Does nature wait until a wild canid is 2?

Again, not saying I'd do it...just saying that we need to keep some perspective, like Moons pointed out.

I would say this is one breeder I would avoid, again for so many reasons.

It is possible she was a-stamped but is this a breeder that would bother having this done?

Doubtful.  I distrust any associations w/Alt Ostland...and I can find NO IDENTIFICATION as to who this "blackhawk shepherds" really is.

Me either.  No contact info at all that I could find.

LOL actually that was a hypothetical question about bothering to have them done.

Afraid it is. They are Judy Malone's dogs...both of them. Hence the b.s. "UKC INT CH" and all that crap. So someone misspelled the name...or tried to do that on purpose to make someone think it was different.
