It's possible that they have hip ratings...and no one bothered to list them on the database. This site is great, but lots of things are inaccurate.

I would think that the dogs with SV registration numbers further back without listed titles would have hip ratings/titles, just nothing up close that's titled.   I'm sure with some research you could find out about the hip scores through the SV website....

The only thing I would say is that I personally would be a little iffy on both parents being OFA Fair on their hips. You just never know though. JMHO.

In my insomnia, I couldn't find one of the parents of Ralph (I think) in either OFA or on the SV site....

Cool names, they should probably have a make pretend wedding

Some guy was at my house picking out his pup, and he was wondering what to name him,

and some other guy, older than the first guy was also getting his pup, and he blurt's
out to the first guy "Ah, why don't you just name him Ralph," not knowing that was the man's name,
it was just kinda funny, guess you had to be there

I need to think of a good name for my black girl pup, names..........

Margaret,
I dont know alot about the pedigrees yet and Im trying to learn. This is a fabulous place for me to do that! I have been to this breeders kennel and have seen both of these dogs. The are nice looking dogs. Ralph is very sweet and Emily, well she has the typical gsd aloofness with strangers. The litter of pups that were on the ground last summer looked like very nice pups. Although you really cant tell a whole lot when they are that young (9 weeks).  I know, all puppies are cute and thats now how you pick one. I was just there to look at her adult breeding dogs  mostly. This breeder purchased her breeding dogs from a good breeder who also bred  my males mother so that also peeked my curiosity as to this breeders dogs.
This breeder does not title or even do any AKC stuff with her GSD as of right now. Her and I have discussed this issue and I gave her my thoughts about it. She told me she just doesnt have the time to show her dogs but she has gone to some of the AKC confimation shows around here. She used to breed American lines but is now doing the European lines since she doesnt like the way the American lines are being bred now a days. She sells her pups mostly as pet and family dogs. Most of her puppy buyers dont show or compete with their dogs. She has one in another state that is doing some agility with theirs, though.  Also, Im sure alot of you or most of you will say that her not having time to train and show  or get her breeding stock titled is a cop out and maybe it is but another fact is that there is simply no close schutzund clubs in our area. This is the same issue I am having too. She does OFA  all her breeding stock and wont breed them until she does and they have passing hips. Personally, I would like to see some of her dogs go to people who will do something with them but she says that the owners are all very happy with their pups.
I had originally contacated this breeder in 2007 when I was looking for a pup. She is close by and I got her name from my vet. That is how I came to know her. I did not get my puppy from her kennel since I wanted to get a female pup to possibly breed in the future and I found out she doesnt do anything with her breeding stock to prove they can work.
We have kept in touch since then. I thought that Emily had a nice pedigree and she might produce some pups that have the drives for schutzhund. That is why I am seeking others opinions on this pairing. I know some on this list say the breeding stock must be titled  and others say that there is more to consider than just titles. I also know that some of the kennels in Germany breed their females before titling them to see what they will produce since putting titles on a dog takes quite a bit of time and money and if the female is not a good producer , then I guess they wont title her and take her out of their breeding program. I dont know that for sure though, just going by what Ive read elsewhere.
I know its not a good comparison to Ralph and  Emilys breeder since she doesnt do anything with hers and the German breeders do use titled males. Anyway, the main reason I was asking was that this breeder really wants someone to put a title on one of her pups so I was curious if a pup from this pairing might have the appropriate drives to get a working title. Again, I know every pup is a crap shoot. I thought that mayve some of you have seen any dogs with similar dogs in the pedigree and if any of the progeny had gone on to get their working titles. I know, sounds like another cop out. She wants someone else to do the work but she is not willing to put forth the effort on the parents. I am taking eveything into consideration and like, I stated--curious about other dogs with the same dogs in the pedigree and what those dogs have accomplished, if anything.
Thanks to everyone who gave me th
